THE INVITATION

The Coalition of Black Trade Unionists was organizing climate-justice workshops for Black communities across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

The promotional materials needed to speak to the people the workshops were intended to serve and help the invitation feel relevant and welcoming.

Rooted in everyday life

I worked with CBTU to design promotional touchpoints that centred the affected communities. The visual direction brought Black workers, families and neighbourhoods into the materials, connecting the invitation to the people the team wanted to reach.

A CONNECTED SERIES

A shared visual structure connected the workshop materials across the series. The social graphics gave each workshop a place within the campaign while keeping the invitation consistent.

Across six workshops in five cities, the series consistently filled about 95% of available seats. CBTU brought the organising and community relationships. My contribution was the promotional design supporting those efforts.
