Rooms I’m not in

One person on the client side, with enough trust to move decisions, can halve the work for everyone.

A strong client-side point of contact can cut the work in half for everyone.

That person represents the client throughout the process and champions the direction inside the organization.

They help me clarify the problem, align the solution with the business, consolidate feedback, and carry the context into rooms I am not in.

Because they understand the business and have enough internal influence, they can involve the right decision-makers at the right time.

When that role is unclear, context has to be rebuilt, and decisions that were locked in have to be revisited.

Everyone can end up doing the same work twice.

This is why I now help clients define that role early:

• Who understands the business?
• Who has the trust and authority to move decisions forward?
• Who needs to weigh in before the direction is set?
• Who will carry the idea when I am not there?

It is to give the client a clearer path to a strong solution, with less repetition and stronger buy-in across the team.
